Last Day of 2013!!!

Happy New Years Eve everyone! Wow... 2013 has flown by fast! It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating the new year LAST year! To celebrate my last post of 2013, here are some links to a few of my favorite posts from the past year.

Merry Christmas!

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Christmas (or an awesome day if you don't celebrate Christmas)! I'm currently trying to get used to this computer...

Last night, I finally got my family (my parents and my nana) to watch the movie Polar Express with me. I honestly can't believe I was the only one in our family who had ever seen it before! They enjoyed the movie just as much as I did, and I was really happy that I got to watch it again (I haven't seen it since my elementary school played it to celebrate Christmas back in 2009!).

This morning, we ate bagels and cream cheese (yum!) before we started opening presents. Some of my presents included the entire Divergent trilogy, a space-themed calendar for 2014, a couple of necklaces that I really like, and a new watch that came with six bands of different colors (white, snake-skin, pink, purple, black, and... uh... I can't remember the last one, but I know that a silver band was already on the watch). I truly enjoyed each of the presents I received, but there was one present that I enjoyed more than any of the other gifts I received this year (my parents actually told me that I should open this present last because of how awesome it was).

Those of you who have known me for a while (or have checked out the "My Pets" page) may know about Tiger, my youngest cat. This kitty decided to climb into the lid of one of my presents and remain there even though there was obviously not enough space for her... haha. :P

When the only present that remained under our Christmas tree was the ginormous present my parents told me to save for last, I pulled it out to discover that it was almost impossible to pick up.

Dad: Pull the present out in front of you and sit in front of the tree. -takes out his camera-
Me: Okay... -opens present- OMG, no... it can't be... A NEW COMPUTER!!!! :O :O :O
Dad: -takes picture-

This computer is a Windows 8 computer, and apparently I'm still used to my old Windows XP Professional that crashed quite frequently... haha, I'm behind. :P

I may actually be able to finally get Windows Movie Maker on my computer (I can finally make the music videos of my dreams)! I'll deal with that after I get a bit more used to this computer.

As for the 10 billion pictures I probably have... I will go through them and only upload the pictures I need (I probably won't need the majority of the pictures on my old computer that I posted on any of my blogs because I can simply resave those if I need to).

That's all for now, and have a fantabulous (how in the world does this computer not register that word as a typing error?) Christmas and conclusion of the year 2013 everyone! :D

P.S: Does anyone else think that I should seriously update the header, background, and banner of this blog? The last time I updated the template of this blog at all was back in May... O_O

Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone! Today is definitely a low-key day for me in terms of what we have planned; we actually planned on getting my drivers permit (it basically allows anyone age 15 or over to learn to drive and drive while accompanied by someone age 21 or over), but the Department of Driver Services is closed on Monday, so I have to wait until Thursday before I can get it. :l

To be honest, it doesn't even feel like I went to school this past Friday because the only thing scheduled for that day was final exams for 3rd and 4th periods, so school dismissed at 11:30 am. However, I used my exam exemption form in order to not have to take the 4th period final, so I ended up checking out of the school at 10:00 (I would have to sit in my 4th period class and do nothing for an hour and a half if I attended that class).

Lately, we've been receiving quite a few of what I call "Christmas Surprises." First, a ginormous chunk in one of the pipes in the dishwasher caused the dishwasher to not wash dishes properly and the water in the dishwasher to flood beneath the dishwasher (aka the basement). The excess water flooded the furnace in the basement in the process and caused it to no longer function. The cost to get it replaced is about $5000-$6000, and we won't be able to get this issue addressed until after Christmas.

In other words, we're going to have to bundle up with sweaters, blankets, each other, etc. and wash dishes by hand for the next few days...

I REALLY can't wait until Wednesday now...

That's all for now, and have a cheery, healthy, safe holiday season everyone!

Update: We actually got the dishwasher fixed yesterday, but I didn't realize it when I posted this.
