I'm Back! :)

Hey everyone! I have returned from my vacation to Florida and South Carolina! I personally had a BLAST during the 2 weeks I spent in these states, but it feels good to be back in my hometown again. :)

Now I just have to get used to sitting in front of a computer and not an iPad again. O_O Luckily, the keyboard on my computer is SO MUCH easier to type on than the keypad on my iPad (I didn't even realize just how fast I type on a computer until I attempted to type on an iPad for two weeks). By the time I post on this blog again, I will probably be used to this computer again. :P

That's all for now, and have a spectacular Saturday everyone! :D

Yay :D

YES I CAN FINALLY POST ON THIS BLOG AGAIN!!!

Sorry, I had to get that out there. :P

I haven't been able to post on this blog in a while because ever since I left for Florida last week, I've been busy non-stop, and I didn't have enough downtime to post on either of my blogs. I probably won't be able to post on my Animal Jam blog until I come back because I have to have a laptop or desktop to get on AJ, and the only way I can access the Internet is through my iPad. Because of this, I will let DragonWolf70, a friend I know in real life, take over my AJ blog until I can get on AJ again next week (I am currently at my grandparents' house in South Carolina and plan to travel back to my house on Saturday). I will post more information about my trip once I come back. :)

That's all for now, and have a superb Sunday everyone! :D

Update: I just realized this is my 100th post on this blog! Yay! :D

Update 2: I can't believe it has officially been a month since my last day of middle school; it feels like that last day as a middle schooler took place yesterday! O_O

Hotel Room :)

Hey guys! As the title implies, I am now in my hotel room in Florida! We actually just got back from dinner (it makes a big difference when you order seafood right next to the ocean). Unfortunately, my dad burned his mouth on some soup while we were there. D:

It may be hot, flat, and humid here, but it's definitely worth it. :)

I won't be able to post any pictures or videos until after I come back from vacation because I am posting this through the iPad I took with me to Florida.

That's all for now, and have a superb Sunday everyone! :D

Excitement!!! :D

Hey everyone! As you may know, my parents and I will travel to Florida tomorrow! I can't wait (I've never been to Florida, so this is pretty huge for me)! On Monday and Tuesday, we're going to visit the Kennedy Space Center. I heard this center is pretty epic. :D On Wednesday, we will drive up to St. Augustine to visit my aunt before travelling to South Carolina to visit my grandparents for the rest of that week and the entire week after we leave for Florida (June 19- June 29/30). Hopefully the pine roach that crept under my window last night will be dead by the time I come back!

Today my mom and I shopped for some summer clothes at the mall. After a while of shopping, we both felt thirsty, so Mom suggested getting smoothies while we were in the mall. Mom got a strawberry-kiwi smoothie, while I got a raspberry and banana smoothie (Mom wished she had ordered my smoothie).

On the way to the mall, an EPIC song played on the radio that I remembered playing on Rock Band and Rock Band 2 back when those games were still new (when I was in 4th and 5th grade). Here is the song in case you want to listen to something. :)

All credit goes to Pearl Jam and the creator of this video. Enjoy! :D

Yes, I really like 80s and 90s music. :P

To top off my excitement, guess what we're having for dinner! LASAGNA (my favorite food in the universe)!!!!!!!! :D

I didn't take this picture. :P
That's all for now, and have a spectacular Saturday everyone! :D

HOLY COW O____________O

Hey everyone! I was recording a video for my Animal Jam blog, when I discovered a HIDEOUS pine roach on the window RIGHT NEXT TO ME!!! Here is a picture! O__O

If you want to see my reaction to this, watch the video below (you might want to turn the volume down some on your computer, and I'm the fox with the pink guitar and purple sun hat). O___O

By the time I was able to tell my mom about this, the roach crawled underneath my desk and hid there! After my mom banged on the desk a few times, it sprinted under the door to my closet. It is still in my closet right now, and I am NOT opening that door! O_O

Great job, roach; now I'm going to be up all night. O_O

The Legends of Dragon Clan

I can't believe it has officially been 3 weeks since school got out for the summer. O_O

I have EXTREMELY exciting news! On Sunday we are going to leave my hometown to spend the week in FLORIDA (we're going to visit the Kennedy Space Center while we are there)!!! After that, we are going to travel up to South Carolina, where I will spend another week with my grandparents! YAY!!! :D

Because of this, I will not be able to get on Animal Jam or post on either of my blogs as often as I do currently. However, I will try to post occasionally on this blog to inform you of how I am doing. :)

That's all for now, and have a thrilling Thursday everyone! :D

Funny Cat Pictures :P

Hey everyone! Earlier my mom showed me a link to some HILARIOUS pictures of cats! I personally think all of the pictures are pretty funny, but the last picture caused me to laugh my socks off! (oh wait, I wasn't wearing socks...)

This is my youngest cat, Tiger, and me practically EVERY DAY! :P

Disco, my eldest cat, does this sometimes as well. :P

Here is the link to the photos in case you want to check them out.

Speaking of Tiger and Disco, here is a picture I took just now of Tiger and me.

I TRIED to take a good picture of Disco and me, but Disco would not sit still in front of the camera for more than two seconds!

The proof is in this video... :P

I was finally able to get Disco to actually face the camera towards the end, but she started moving again right before I could take a picture of us.

That's all for now, and have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

Ten Ways to Relieve Boredom Over the Summer :)

Hey guys! As you may be able to infer from the title, I'm bored. :P Summer may be fun, and it definitely provides quite a break from the day-to-day pressures of school, but summer can be pretty boring when you're not experiencing activities outside of the house 24/7. Because of this, I decided to create a list of ten ways to relieve boredom over the summer.

Ten Ways to Relieve Boredom Over the Summer:
  1. Get out of the house.
  2. Watch funny videos.
  3. Post on a blog (if you have one).
  4. Read.
  5. Make up imaginative games for yourself that don't involve destroying the furniture. :P
  6. Interact with friends.
  7. Look at projects, documents, and/or yearbooks from previous school years.
  8. Listen to music.
  9. Talk about how you have enjoyed your summer and/or continue to enjoy the rest of your summer.
  10. Create a list of ten ways to relieve boredom over the summer.
Those are not all the ways to relieve boredom over a 2 and a half month long summer vacation (there are too many ways for me to list them all), but those are some good examples of ways to entertain yourself in situations where you feel as bored as I feel now... zzzzzz.

It's not on the list, but sleeping would be a good way to relieve boredom as well. :P

After all, I know I'm not the only one who is currently feeling as bored as an exhausted sheep right now; I learned earlier that one of my far away friends is feeling the same way. :P

That's all for now, and I hope that list helps with your seemingly endless boredom! :D

P.S: Has anyone else noticed that there is an emoticon at the end of every post title on this page? I didn't notice it until a few minutes ago... O_O

AHHHHH EMOTE ATTACK!!! :O :O :O

ANOTHER ONE!!!! -swats emotes away-

Phew! They're gone! :D

Uhhhhhhh...... -point- ^ :P

THE NEVER-ENDING STRING OF EMOTES!!!

Wow... I guess I like to express how I feel in ways other than using words or images. :P

-.-

Well, that's another way to relieve summer boredom... lol...

Happy Birthday DragonWolf70!!! :D

Hey everyone! I would like to wish DragonWolf70, a special friend of mine, a happy birthday! She turns 14 today! :D

I made something special for her on Paint just now and sent it to her email. I'm not going to post it on this blog because it shows her real face. However, I DID make an AJ (Animal Jam) background for her. Here it is! :D

DragonWolf70 is a close friend of mine that I met during our first full week of middle school. She's a really nice person, and although we have somewhat grown apart since 6th grade, we have maintained our friendship by keeping contact with each other through our blogs and through Animal Jam, a game we play together.

The summer before I started middle school, I attended Robotics Camp at my middle school (this was where I met my 6th grade Lego League coach for the first time). Because I attended this camp, I was automatically placed in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) class for my first quarter of middle school.

On my first day of STEM, I walked in the room to learn that we had to get in groups of 2 or 3 in order to build our robots, and working individually was not an option. I thought about partnering up with my partner from Robotics Camp, but we both decided we wanted to experiment with different partners.

As usual, I was the last one to get a partner. :l

I had bonded with another girl from my school on the first day of school when we learned we had almost all of our classes together. We would even whisper to each other before our classes started. :P When I saw her and a girl I did not recognize, I decided to ask if I could join their group. They said I could, so I sat with them and chatted some before we had to start working on our robot.

This was the beginning of an unbreakable bond, for the girl I did not recognize was DragonWolf70. :)

Those of you who play Animal Jam should buddy DragonWolf70; she's definitely a fun person to be around!

Happy Birthday Dragon! :D

Science Camp :D

Hey everyone! This week I have been attending a Science Spectrum summer camp over at my high school (which I will be attending in August :D). On Monday, our camp was divided into 6 groups, and each group visited the 6 Science stations at different times. We visited 3 stations on Monday, and we visited the remaining 3 stations yesterday. Here are the stations in the order in which I visited them. :)

Monday:
  1. Robotics
  2. Environmental Science
  3. Lunch (lol)
  4. Forensics
Tuesday:
  1. Electronics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Lunch (again XD... this time we had turkey subs instead of pizza. :P)
  4. Engineering
At the end of the day on Tuesday, we had to rank each of the stations we visited from 1 to 6 (1 being most interested and 6 being least interested). Here is a list of the stations in the order in which I ranked them. :P
  1. Engineering
  2. Electronics
  3. Chemistry
  4. Environmental Science
  5. Forensics
  6. Robotics
Sorry, but "Lunch" didn't count as one of the stations we could rank... lol. :P

I hated putting 6 next to Robotics, for I loved programming our robot once it was built, but I bet I would have given it a higher ranking if searching for pieces for our robot didn't feel like searching for needles in haystacks (let's just say we didn't sort the pieces before we searched for them...).

After Day 2 of the camp concluded, our Magnet coordinator divided us into 6 "Focus Groups," which were the groups that would spend the whole day on Wednesday and Thursday at a particular event (usually one of the top 2 stations on our ranking sheet).

Sure enough, I walked in to my high school's Magnet building this morning to discover Electronics on my name tag. :P

After the students attending the camp had gathered in one of the classrooms this morning, our Magnet coordinator led the Electronics group down to a laboratory I had never seen before nor known existed at my high school.

Our instructor, Mr. George, showed us how to use a soldering iron to attach different parts of circuits to circuit boards. He also taught us that solder was NOT spelled like "sotter" or "sodder." :P

Even though I ended up breathing in a bunch of rosin smoke (don't worry; it's harmless), I had a blast learning how to build circuits and listening to Mr. George play surf music on his guitar when we weren't busy constructing circuits. At one point our Magnet coordinator even came in to watch us soldering. :)

Apparently she knows all of the Magnet kids by name. O_O

I can't WAIT for tomorrow; tomorrow we'll be able to finish installing LED lights into our circuits and test the circuits we created!

Not only did I enjoy myself today at Electronics, but the activities we did in Electronics reminded me of my dad's love of soldering and constructing circuits. It also reminds me of when he first taught me how to solder parts of circuits onto circuit boards last Summer. I'm even wearing the same shirt that I wore that day! LOL! Here is proof. :P

Then (July 28, 2012):

Now (June 5, 2013):

Yeah, my hair is DEFINITELY longer in the second picture. :P

That's all for now, and have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! :D
