Hey guys! Since Thanksgiving Break is here, I might as well post something. :P
Lately I haven't been doing all that much, but on Friday, we received the Xbox One that we pre-ordered a while back (it released just in time for Thanksgiving Break too)! Apparently quite a few applications, such as Skype, YouTube, cable, etc., are built into the new Xbox One, and you can watch TV and play games at the same time!
The first game we got for the Xbox One is a racing game called Forza Motorsports 5. I currently have 3 cars; a gold car, a purple car, and a silver car; on that game, and apparently my purple car is AMAZING at making tight turns on a race course.
Anyways, today my dad and I took the annual trip to the tag office near us to get the licenses of our vehicles renewed (I can't believe it has already been a year since we visited that tag office!).
As far as the rest of this week goes, we are planning on having family come over to our house on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and this weekend, we are going to go see Ender's Game in theaters (I can't wait)!
Speaking of Ender's Game, I feel like telling you guys a hilarious occurrence that came up last year when I was reading this book for my first AR (Accelerated Reader) quiz of the year.
I was just reading Ender's Game (which is over 300 pages in length and has pretty small text), and I had heard from quite a few people that this book is often assigned as a class book in various high schools. A book also had to have a book level of at least 7 (meaning that the book is fit for a 7th grader) in order for that book to qualify for an AR quiz unless my language arts teacher gave permission for an AR quiz to be taken on that book. However, when I checked the book level for this particular novel, the AR list of books told me that Ender's Game had a book level of 5.5! After a few seconds of staring at this number in disbelief, I decided to tell my language arts teacher of this interesting phenomenon, and she gave me the exact same expression of disbelief and responded, "Go ahead and take the test!"
Yeah, I have NO CLUE what the person who plugged in the book levels for the AR books was thinking... :P
To conclude this post,
Now I will post an extremely random and irrelevant picture (courtesy of Google Images). :D
That's all for now, and have a thrilling Thanksgiving Break everyone! :D
