Hey everyone! I just received the Math packet and reading assignment I have to complete over the summer today (first reaction: ICK!!!). Oh well, the work really isn't that bad, and it has to get done. :P Besides, this will keep my brain from becoming quite as rusty during my 2 and a half month long vacation. :)
My parents and I were just returning to our car after eating dinner a little more than an hour ago when we heard this song playing on the radio near us. I remember this song from when it used to play on my grandparents' radio all the time back when I spent my summers with them in elementary school. Because I had only heard this song when I spent my summers with them, it brings back so many memories of all the amazing experiences I had while I stayed with my grandparents all of those years (This song might have also played during the brief periods of time I spent with them during the summers of 2011 and 2012, which were the summers before I started 7th and 8th grades).
I can't believe I'm a freshman in high school...

Now I'm preparing to leaving my past behind as I transition into high school (I can't wait!). Despite this, I will never forget all of the wonderful events I was fortunate enough to experience during my elementary and middle school years. :)

Hey everyone! Out of boredom, I decided to draw a squirrel on Paint for the first time to see how well I could draw squirrels. :P I'm really sorry my squirrel doesn't look that great; this is my first time drawing a squirrel, so I haven't had much practice. Here is the squirrel I drew. :)
My squirrel's head probably looks like an orange mouse's head to you... lol. :P

Hey everyone! Today has been kind of a low-key day for me. To entertain myself, I have been playing on the computer, playing with my cat, looking over my old school stuff that is completely worn out now, and playing "Hot Potato" with one of my pillows (lol).

Hey everyone! Today I rode with my parents to the mountain bike trails near us to ride our bikes again and get back in shape. While we were riding the beginner trail at the mountain bike park, I decided to take some risks and ride on the beginner plus trail that was at the park. I actually did a good job riding on both trails, but on the beginner plus trail, I experienced an interesting fall. :P
I was just riding along the narrow trail, which had a VERY steep hill descending right next to it, when my bike suddenly became all wobbly (I think I ran over a root in a strange way). I suddenly found myself accelerating towards the steep hill. I attempted desperately to steer my bike back on the trail, but it was too late; I was already tumbling down the hill with my bike. I managed to grab onto one of the plants partway down the hill.
Me: -rides down the trail when suddenly the bikes starts to swerve- (thinks: OH SNAP GET BACK ON THE TRAIL GET BACK ON TH-) -tumbles down hill with bike- AHHHHHH!!! -grabs nearby plant and laughs at self- :P
Me: -not letting go of the plant- Ok, now I have to get up... Oh no, it feels like I'm just going to keep tumbling down the hill with this bike if I let go of this plant...
Me: Can someone help me up, please...? (apparently I had left my parents behind)
Me: -looks up at leaves on the tree above me- Leaves... Those are nice leaves... :P
Dad: OH S***! Are you alright?!
Me: Ya... I'm fine... Can you help me up please?
After a few minutes of recovering from the fall (and being a little lightheaded from being upside-down), we set off down the rest of the beginner plus trail. Here is a picture of me taken after we completed the trail and arrived at the intersection between the beginner and beginner plus trails. :P

After taking a shower, I looked up a song that I used to LOVE when I was in elementary school, and I would sing it in the car whenever this song played on my grandparents' radio. I ended up recording myself singing this song because the song brought back so many memories and I just wanted to sing it again. :P I thought I would sound REALLY bad like I do with many other songs. However, when I listened to my recording, I was shocked to learn that I could actually sing this song extremely well! :O
I guess all those days singing this song in the car helped me sing this song as well as I do today. :P
Because of this realization, I decided to make a cover of this song, specifically Let It Be by The Beatles, for you to listen to. Here it is! :D

Hey everyone! As you may be able to infer from the title, I got extremely wet today. :P
I
didn't learn until last night that I had been invited to my next door
neighbor's birthday party, and we would expect to get wet at this party.
There was only one problem; I didn't buy my bathing suit yet, and all
my bathing suits from last year were too small for me!
Before
the party started at noon, I rode with my family to the square near our
house, where we looked around at the different shops and ate an early
lunch.
After we left the square, we SCRAMBLED over to a
Walmart to look for a bathing suit for me along with a present for my
next door neighbor.
This last minute shopping caused me to be late to my neighbor's party... :l
When
I finally arrived at my neighbor's house, a pool that was not small
enough to be a kiddy pool but not big enough to be a community pool was
set up in the backyard for us to play in. All the other girls were a lot
younger than I am (the oldest girl besides me looked like she just
completed 3rd grade). Despite this, I had a blast playing in the water
and watching the younger kids enjoy the beginning of summer vacation.
At
one point, my neighbor's dad set up a slip-and-slide water set for us
to slide through. To be honest, I hadn't slid through one of those sets
since I was younger than most of the girls at the party.
Me: (hears a loud grinding sound from my house) That must be my dad mowing the grass.
Girl: Ohhh, so YOU'RE the girl who lives next door!!!
Me: Yep. :)
Girl: How old are you, 15?!
Me: 14. I start high school in August.
Girl: Wow...
After
sliding through the slip-and-slide three times, my legs stung and water
flooded my eyes, but the exhilarating experience was worth it. :)
Also,
I created a new banner yesterday! I created this new banner because I
created my old banner based off of a picture of me from July 3, 2012,
and I decided it was time to update this picture. Here is the picture I
used for my old banner in case anyone wondered what it was. :)

Hey everyone! Now that I've finally recovered from the depression mentioned in the previous post, I want to announce that it is officially summer vacation for me! YAY!!! :D High school, here we come!!! >:D
Speaking of high school...
I spent my last period of middle school in the Learning Lab with Mrs. Quenan and my classmates to celebrate the last day of middle school. At one point, one of my classmates played this song on his computer, and half the class started singing it. :P

Update: It's 9:25 pm, and I've officially started crying... again. :'(
Hey everyone... if you want an explanation for the title of this post, here is a video explaining what happened... :'(
This wasn't even the worst of my crying; right now I'm letting out extremely high-pitched wails that can probably be heard throughout the entire house.
If you can't watch the video for whatever reason, here is why I am so sad.
The school year just concluded for me, and next year I will be in high school. I know I should be happy that I'm moving on to high school, and I am, but I'm going to miss all the memories I made at my middle school!!! :'( I made so many awesome friends in my middle school, and... and I probably won't be able to see quite a few of these friends again.
Even if I visit my middle school again, a few of my teachers are leaving my middle school after this year.... :'(
To make matters worse, I made SO MANY amazing memories here that are now history...
For one thing, I participated in several amazing extra-curricular activities...
Lego League, where I learned the secrets behind how robots perform certain actions without human assistance and learned the significance of "gracious professionalism..."
Science Olympiad, where I met several amazing friends while competing in different events and serving as a role model and an inspiration for younger members of our team...
And Drama Club, where I improved my public speaking skills and my bravery in front of an audience exponentially and shone dominantly as the girl in the brown toga (aka Ishy) followed by a nerdy geek who abruptly ended mayhem (Verges)...
Not only that, but unlike in elementary school, my classes in middle school challenged me at every turn. Although I did know this lesson in elementary school, middle school was where I was REALLY encouraged to strive to be the best person I could be, and I plan on continuing to do this throughout high school and for the rest of my life.
Last but not least, I'm going to truly miss all of the teachers who guided me through middle school and taught me three important lessons (I am also posting these lessons to aid those who may be transitioning to middle school currently).
As long as you make good decisions throughout your middle school career and enjoy all that middle school has to offer, middle school will be a pleasant experience for you.
Middle school survival guides may not be the answers to the questions and worries that bubble regarding middle school. Even though I read a couple of these types of guides, all of my answers came from experiencing middle school for myself.
If you work hard, exhibit kind behavior towards others, and follow the directions given to you, you will accomplish your dreams and carve... -sniff-... your dream path in life (oh dear, I'm going to cry again)... Although talent will help you tremendously in reaching your goals, often talent does not prove to be necessary if you reach your potential in school and in life... You just have to BELIEVE you can achieve your long-term goals and dreams, and you will go far in life. :'(
Posting the third tip caused me to start crying again... :'(
